Six months of Resonate…
The story so far…
Resonate Festival has been running since May 2021 as the University of Warwick’s celebration of Coventry City of Culture. Our 12-month programme of inspiring and interactive events harnesses the power of creativity, conversation and connection for people of all ages across Coventry and Warwickshire to spark ideas, curiosity and creativity. Resonate culminates in a grand finale – a three-day live festival on campus in April 2022.
Since the Resonate Festival launched in May 2021, we have organised nearly 100 events. We’ve engaged with over 3000 people face-to-face and over 5500 people online; the ethnic diversity of our attendees roughly reflects that of the city of Coventry. We’ve built relationships with over 60 local organisations and worked with nearly 200 staff and students from all three faculties on developing and delivering our programme. We’ve also launched our new website and developed around 50 online activities and resources so that people can engage with the festival at home; something which has been particularly important during this difficult year of restrictions and lockdowns!
These figures are important as they show that we’re on track to achieve much of what we set out to achieve, but they are only part of the story of Resonate.
