Being Human Festival (London): Ready, Steady, Eat!

  • St George's Tufnell Park, London Crayford Road London, England, N70ND United Kingdom (map)

Create your very own jacket potato from locally grown and reclaimed produce! Starting in St George's Church, you'll be given a map to find organisations working to improve the local food system, including Octopus Community Gardens, Whittington Community Centre, Wellbeing Cafe, and the Anson Road Wall Stall.

At each organisation you'll collect inspiration and fresh ingredients to create a delicious lunch. On the journey you’ll learn more about the Islington Food Partnership, meet inspiring community organisers, and contribute to a collective art project.

Participants can remain in the church, where there will be activities along with tea, coffee, and surplus food, or join the scavenger hunt which will begin and end at the church. This event is designed with kids in mind and is perfect for folks of all ages.

This event is organised by the Department of Philosophy at the University of Warwick and is part of the Being Human Festival. It is Shared by Resonate.
