Our Own Stories
Our Own Stories – March 15th, 2.00-3.30pm. A creative writing workshop facilitated by the award-winning, arts in criminal justice charity, Safe Ground
Our Own Stories is about the stories we tell to each other. The stories we tell of each other and about ourselves as women. These stories speak of our place in history, society and our own life worlds.
Our Own Stories is a women’s programme originally designed and run in six women’s prisons and currently running in women’s community centres across London, with women affected by criminalisation. This unique workshop will give ten women a creative opportunity to share with others and think about our own experiences of community, solidarity, expression, and connections.
This adaptation of Safe Ground’s Our Own Stories will take place in Coventry only once, on March 15th at 2pm as part of the Amazing Women Roadshow events on ‘Women’s Stories of Criminalisation, Imprisonment and Injustice’ taking place at Coventry Cathedral’s Wyley Chapel Exhibition space . Prior booking is essential. Ages 18+.
